A 40 minutes drive from both Alicante & Murcia Airport brings you to a new first floor fully fitted 2 bedroom apartment, overlooking a large swimming pool with children's section. It sleeps up to six people, has air conditioning for summer and heating for the cooler months.
The area is suitable for families, couples & young people in search of a great holiday. There are 3 lovely beaches within walking distance, the nearest being 10 minutes away. A fun fair is by the superb promenade, which is lined with bars, restaurants & shops plus a small arts and crafts market which opens daily. The fun filled Aqua Park can be reached by a local bus or a 20/30 minute walk.
Car hire is not necessary as all attractions are within walking distance with the exception of 3 first class golf courses which are within a 20 minute drive, along with a further 4+ courses in the surrounding area.
Should you wish to explore further a field, the main bus station is a five minute stroll away.
The Apartment: The apartment building was completed in April, 2006. Situated on the first floor of a five storey building in the centre of Torrevieja. Shops, bars and restaurants are located on the doorstep, with a large Mercadonna (Supermarket) selling everything one needs, a few minutes walk away. A five minute walk from the apartment leads to one of the many clean sandy beaches. If you just want to relax on the beach, saunter on the prom or visit the harbour, everything is within walking distance. There are so many establishments serving delicious food and cooling drinks. Alternatively, you may wish to hire a car to visit various places, therefore within half an hours drive you could be shopping in Alicante or an hour would take you to Benidorm. However if you do not want the hassle of driving then perhaps the local bus service would suit your needs. The central bus station is situated five minutes from the apartment and daily buses can transport you to nearby local urbanisations.
The Location: Torrevieja, situated about 50km south west of Alicante is surrounded by two large natural saltwater lagoons. It is an ideal location for summer or winter sun holidays with an average of 320 days sunshine each year. Its beaches of fine sand and crystal clear waters have held the European Blue Flag for Clean Seas for several years. The surrounding countryside has an abundance of orange and lemon groves and of course the seaside promenades and the fishing port are attractions in their own right. During the day Torrevieja offers a range of leisure and entertainment areas. As well as its beaches and numerous terraces along its maritime promenade, expanding harbour and marina, there are go-kart tracks and a resident fun fair, plus a great aquatic park swarming with families, young people and children. Lovers of ecological and environmental tourism will not do better than visit the lakes to enjoy a mudbath, recommended by doctors around the world for its curative properties.
For the Golf Enthusiast: The Costa Blanca offers a variety of golf courses. The three closest to the apartment are Villamartin, Las Ramblas and Campoamor. Though they are situated in the same area, they are totally different. The oldest one is Villamartin, built in 1972, and was the host for the European Tour 1994. Playing over undulating fairways to well protected greens, no two holes are alike on this superb course. Apart from these courses, there are a number of other spectacular golf courses within less than an hours drive. It is well known to be a golfer's paradise.
