Overlooked by its towers, it is attractive for the monumental Piazza del Popolo, considered to be one of the most beautiful in the Marche. Works of art from the XV century school can be admired in the rich and ancient Art Gallery as well as in the numerous rural and urban churches. In the Middle Age on the hills surrounding the town towered many defenses castles, the watch tower and what is left of the city walls are reminders of a feudal past, today they have become balconies, a superb observatory to view the panorama which reaches as far as the eye can see, to the Sibillini and the distant Gran Sasso. However it is Elcito that really strikes the eye with its grey homes crouched on the top of the rocky cliff
