Phuket Island Region: Phuket is definitely one of the most exciting and attractive areas of Thailand but the Southern part is undoubtedly the most beautiful. There is so much to do and the people themselves are guaranteed to give you a warm welcome in this 'Land of Smiles'
Phuket is a Mecca for water-sport lovers and few visitors leave without seeing the view and spectacular sunsets at Prom Thep Cape.
The small Kata Noi and Nai Harn beaches are popular and the diminutive and charming Ya Nui beach is popular with the locals. Snorkeling is a pleasure and there are corals where one can see dazzling fish.
Rawai beach has many restaurants overlooking the water where boats go to the nearby islands. Buy fresh fish from the local Sea Gypsies or buy souvenirs.
There are top class International restaurants nearby and an abundance of very good quality local Thai food.
The choice is yours- relax on the white sandy beaches or be more energetic and go on one of the many activities available- either way have fun!
Climate: Phuket`s rainy season runs from May until end of October with the last two months having the most rainfall. However, even in the rainy season there are long periods of sunshine each day.
Low season is a nice time to visit Phuket as most of the crowds have gone and weather can still be glorious.
