Our Paris apartment is situated in a house featuring a natural stone façade. It was built in the 19th century and is a listed building. The apartment is located on the fifth floor, so it is especially light, but unfortunately an elevator is not available.
It has a living room with a balcony to the street (to the east) and two bedrooms (to the courtyard to the south) - the larger one with a French bed, 1.4m x 2m, the other normally with a single bed, but there is an additional mattress available.
The apartment is well maintained and nicely furnished - very French decor, fabric-covered walls, furnishings mainly consisting of 1880-1920 collector's items. The comfortable modern kitchen includes a 4-element ceramic stove, a micowave/grill/oven, a refrigerator, a dishwasher and a coffe and an esperesso machine, stereo system and TV. Internet access .available (via the same screen).
Between Bastille and Père Lachaise cemetery, a middle-class residential area, in the vicinity of numerous shops and restaurants, less expensive than in nearby Marais and Bastille. Near to Place Léon Blum/ Voltaire and the 11th arrondissement town hall. The apartment is located on a quiet street parallel to the Avenue Parmentier.
A three minutes walk to the metro and bus stations. The metro line 9 is a direct connection to the Grands Boulevards, Champs Elysées, Trocadéro/ Eiffel Tower. There are very convenient bus stops to other popular tourist destinations (Louvre, Saint Germain, train stations, Montmartre, Porte de Clignancourt) at Place Léon Blum.
Parking is relatively easy to find, but is subject to fees during the day.
