Mürren (1650 m) - a marvellous mountain village, public car free, rich in tradition. Perched on a high, sunny terrace facing the famous Eiger, Mönch and Jungfrau, the village is the highest altitude ski resort in the Bernese Oberland. It nestles at the foot of the Schilthorn with its revolving Piz Gloria Restaurant, made world-famous by a James Bond film. In winter In summer, Mürren is the perfect place from which to start a host of hikes, from simple to strenuous. You can reach Mürren from Lauterbrunnen by mountain railway (BLM) or from Stechelberg by aerial cableway (LSMS). From Murren you can take the mountain cog railway to Wengen, Jungfraujoch (Top of Europe) and Grindlewald.
