Penthouse apartment of 160sq m in the centre of the car free and historic village of Murren located at 1,650 m. The apartment has spectacular views to the Jungfrau, Monch and Breithorn from the spacious living room, master bedroom and balcony. It also benefits from a large modern eat in kitchen seating up to 10 people with direct access onto a west facing balcony with views over the main street and ski slopes descending to the village. The apartment has wireless internet access and cable TV in the master bedroom and mezzanine loft TV lounge. The apartment is most conveniently located for all local services - local shops are immediately available, the Schilthorn Cable Car is less than a 5 minute walk and the Almenhubel funicular is a 2 minute walk. This is a truly ski-in ski-out location.

Murren: Mürren, a village rich in tradition, Illustrated in many historic photographs, the fascinating history of the beautiful Lauterbrunnen Valley, where the resorts of Murren and Wengen still reflect the former influence of early British tourism. Among the first enthusiastic visitors to the Lauterbrunnen Valley were such great names as Jean-Jacques Rousseau, Lord Byron, Johann Wolfgang von Goethe and Felix Mendelssohn-Bartholdy. Mürren is regarded as the cradle of Alpine Ski Sport and the modern slalom was also born here, devised by Sir Arnold Lunn. Winter Walking: Winter walking The villages of Mürren, Wengen,Lauterbrunnen, Gimmelwald, Stechelberg and Isenfluh all belong to a sunny winter walking wonderland, with well maintained trails through stunning Alpine scenery. Winter-walk to impressive vantage points or to the inviting terrace of a mountain hotel. Even fanatical skiers should leave their skis behind for once and discover the delights of one of the beautiful winter walking paths!

Ice Sports and Tobogganing: Ice sports and tobogganing The two artificial ice-rinks (indoor and outdoors) at the Alpine Sports Center in Mürren are perfect for ice skating. Tobogganing, as seen here on the fantastic forest run from Sulwald to Isenfluh, has a long tradition in the area. The familiar wooden toboggans are still often used as a means of transport on snow covered village streets and paths. Tobogganing remains a great favourite with all age groups.Toboggans and bobs can be hired at local sports shops. CURLING - take time to try your hand at this traditional wintersport. ICE SKATING - an openair ice-rink is always available (entrance free) in Murren.
