Our Manor is a declaration of love to the bay of Gökova. Resting between lemon and pomegranate trees, it is just a few minutes´ walk away from Akyaka´s marvellous sand beach. In 1982 the little masterpiece by the well-known architect Nail Cakirhan won the Aga Khan- Award for extraordinary architecture. The mansion’s heart is an impressive two-floors -tall wood panelled living hall with a traditional Persian octagonal floor plan. We invite you to spend your precious spare time in your exclusive “own” mansion with oriental atmosphere. Enjoy your breakfast in the morning sun on the wonderful terrace or relax in front of the fireside, comfortably lying on pillows and having a glass of tea or mocca.
Experience the ambience of 'Arabian Nights' and enjoy your holidays in the way of the ottoman pashas.
Gökova - heaven´s valley: In the bay of Gökova, the “heaven´s valley”, the sun kisses the sea. Surrounded by green hills, the turquoise coloured Aegean Sea enters deep into the heartland. Sea and land meet in in an abundance of smaller and bigger bays in front of vast towering mountains in the north and gentle hills in the south. At its head, the bay of Gökova unfolds into a wide marshland plain. At the base of the mountains, slightly above this plain, which is covered with little meandering rivers, the picturesque village of Akyaka is located.
There the gentle waves break against a small beach with fine golden sand. Fresh spring water runs from the mountains into the sea, reducing the sea´s salinity and providing pleasant refreshment during the hot summer.
Akyaka - our small resort: Akyaka is an insider tip for seekers of recreation. The village (approx. 5000 inhabitants) with its many wooden houses built in the Ottoman style is not like most of the other Turkish holiday villages cast in concrete and bursting at the seams. Situated in a picturesque landscape it has kept its very intimate and natural character. But Akyaka provides all amenities necessary for an easygoing holiday stay, from medical care, shopping facilities and excellent restaurants to nightlife. Even the Turkish prime minister and other celebreties sometimes come here to relax in the quiet bay of Gökova. In spite of this prominent recommendation, most of the tourists seem to prefer the all-inclusive- holiday camps. Fortunately! The small community of Akyaka fans really appreciates this. For those who feel a desire for a busy city with buzzing nightlife, the city of Marmaris is just a 20 minute drive away.
