The house contains two beautiful holiday apartments, which can be rented separately or together as holiday house. It is characterized by the careful renovation which preserved the nostalgic atmosphere and it’s quiet surroundings. There is a cosy veranda and sunny terraces with a beautiful view. The 850-year old catholic basilica and the central square and shopping area are only a few steps away. To the station of the cable car up to the skiing area it is a 5 minutes walk. You find a mini golf behind the house. For centuries the important spiritual centre Mariazell has attracted uncountable pilgrims from Austria, Hungary and the neighbouring Slavic states. Hiking and mountaineering in one of the most beautiful areas of Austria, swimming in a refreshing mountain lake and a lot of different sports and other activities are the guaranty for a perfect holiday..

In a 5 minutes walk you reach the station of the cable car to the Bürgeralpe . About 1350m high it offers 5 lifts and a variety of slopes that provide ideal skiing conditions particularly for families. If you don’t want to queue at lifts and prefer uncrowded slopes at acceptable prices you are right here. From the centre square a ski bus takes you to the 1669m high Gemeindealm which also offers a variety of lifts and slopes in all degrees of difficulty.

The apartment in the first floor dates from a time before 1830. The ceilings are low, the rooms are cosy and comfortable. It has a glass veranda and a sunny terrace. During renovation the old wooden floors, doors, windows etc. were preserved and give the flat it´s special atmosphere. The old furnishing has been completed with some modern furniture and antiquities. There is a sleeping room from grandmother´s time with a double bed. A small writing room with a desk and a bookcase. A big double door connects two big rooms to an about 60sqm living area. In one of the two rooms there is the dining table at the sunny glass veranda. It has access to the terrace, an integrated kitchen and a double sofa bed. In the connected second living room there is a very comfortable sofa bed (1.6m width) and a smaller sofa bed (1.2m width). One beautiful spacey bathroom with WC, 1 extra WC.

It is situated in the centre of one of the most important pilgrimage places in Europe. You can reach the 1350m high Bürgeralm with a cable car from the centre of the town. In winter usually lots of snow provide ideal conditions for skiing at the Bürgeralm and the nearby Gemeindalm. The Ötscher, the magnificent Ötschergräben and the 2300m high Hochschwab provide for walking, hiking and mountaineering. The clear Erlaufsee- a beautiful mountain lake - is just nearby. It is ideal for a refreshing bath on a hot summer day. There is also a diving centre. A cycleway leads 80km to the Danube. You find a variety of mountain bike trails around the town. By car you easily reach the Salza valley - a centre for fast-water canoeing and rafting. During the summer open air concerts and laser shows are regularly performed on the Bürgeralm. There is an indoor pool, a spa will be opened in autumn, and lots of other leisure activities.
