It is a new holiday house, just near the house of the owners. The home is suited for 4 persons. Light living room with sleeping couch, light new kitchenette with microwave, cooker and dishwasher etc. There is a large bathroom with shower and a bedroom with a double bed. This holiday house is very suitable for wheelchairs. There is no step and the toilet is equipped with armrests (foldable) etc. There is also a terrace with chairs, deckchairs, and sunshades.

On the shores of the Amstel Lake...: De Haukes is on the shores of the Amstel Lake (Amstelmeer). There are only a few hundreds inhabitants in the village. The beach Lutjestrand is about 500 m away and is a real paradise for children water being not deep. There are a lot of possibilities for sailing, wind surfing or fishing in the surrounding area. You can go fishing everyday in the North Sea or in Wadden Sea from the Den Oever harbour.

Further information: The apartment is composed of a bright and newly renovated living room with a sleeping couch, a kitchenette with dishwasher, microwave and 4 gas stoves, an independent bedroom with double bed. The apartment is suitable for disabled people (large bathroom with elevated toilet, sliding doors, etc.).

There is a double bed in the bedroom with a feather bed (2 by 2). There is also a feather bed for the sleeping couch in the living room (2 by 2). You can order a linen set on booking for € 30 = blanket cover, 4 pillow covers, 2 bed linens).

This holiday house is just near de Haukes, a very small village on the secret Isle of Wieringen. The house is pretty and bucolic, but not isolated. De Haukes lies on the shore of the Amstel Lake (close to Westerland) and only has a few hundreds inhabitants. The beach Lutjestrand is about 200 m away and is a real paradise for children.

Unlimited surfing possibilities within 2 km, always with the right wind.

Den Oever is less than 7 kilometers away and has a fishing harbour. Everyday fishermen leave from here to go to North Sea or to Wadden Sea. In Hippolytushoef, about 3 kilometers away, you will find restaurants, shops, tennis courts, a covered swimming pool and a karting centre. De Haukes can easily be reached, the motorway A7 being only 7 km away.
