2 properties each with 3 bedrooms to sleep 6 and 7 in Whitchurch Canonicorum

The Stable and Hayloft are both situated in of the village of Whitchurch Canonicorum, in the peaceful and picturesque Marshwood Vale.

They are barn conversions from the original horse stables and barn, they where completed in October 2009 and April 2011. Both have lawned gardens with patio or decking areas and parking for 2 cars. Both have open plan kitchen/ lounge/ dining areas, leading to a patio or decked area and lawned garden.

The Hayloft has 3 bedrooms and 1 bathroom and 2 shower rooms. There are a double and triple en suite rooms upstairs and a double room with and adjoining shower room downstairs.

The Stable is on 1 level with a double en suite, a double and a twin room, also another bathroom and separate wc.

Our Area: Visit the World Heritage Jurassic Coast at Charmouth, Lyme Regis and West Bay or venture further to the Chesil Beach, Abbotsbury and Weymouth or the many villages along the coast. Go west into Devon for Seaton, Beer, Branscombe or Sidmouth. Visit Pecorama, the Donkey Sanctuary, the Swannery, Gardens and Children’s Farm at Abbotsbury or many other attractions locally. Forde Abbey, Cricket St Thomas, Athelhampton House and many more are worth a visit.

Walking is popular along the South West Coastal Path and Golden Cap, the highest point on the South Coast or

Pilsdon Pen one of the highest hills inland. Horse riding, fishing, quad biking, zorbing are local and sea sports

and deep sea fishing at Lyme Regis.

The main farm: Guests are welcome to come to the main farm to watch the milking, see baby calves, beef animals, sheep, and dogs. Lambing is usually between February and April. Watch sheep and cattle in the fields in spring and summer out over the garden fence. We also grow winter wheat, spring barley, forage maize and various crops for animal feed. We will be pleased to show you around and answer any questions.

The Stable is all on 1 level and has a large open plan kitchen/dining area/lounge. There are 3 bedrooms, 1 of which has an ensuite shower room. There is a bathroom and a seperate WC.

The Five Bells Pub is 100 yards up the street where the local Palmers Brewery beer is on offer and guests can order a bar snack or meal. Good home cooked food in a friendly atmosphere or order a take away. Walk down Church path to visit the Shrine of St Wite in the Church, this is the only Church outside St Pauls Cathedral to have its own patron saint buried in the Church. The Village Hall and children’s play area is at the lower end of the village and many activities take place during the year in the Village, Farmhouse Breakfast in January, The Flower Festival in June, Village Fete in July and Flower Show in August to name a few. There is also St Georges Day Lunch, Games Night every Monday, Bingos, Whist Nights, Arts and Crafts and musical nights held in the Church regularly.
