Located in one of the most picturesque areas of Kefalonia and surrounded by 3 acres of private grounds, Villa Katerina (sleeping 8-10 people) is one of the largest villas in the vicinity. Built in the mid-twentieth century and recently modernised, the living areas enjoy the benefits of traditional high ceilings and very generous space as well as modern luxuries. All 4 bedrooms have patio doors leading out onto sizeable balconies/verandas with panoramic sea and mountain views. Child friendly and includes use of spectacular pool at the back of the property. Large lounge/diner, second living area doubling up as fifth bedroom, 3 bathrooms, fully equippped kitchen. Fully air-conditioned, sat TV, dvd, wi-fi, selection of dvds and games provided. Large bbq terrace. Local shop / souvlaki bar 5 mintues walk, Kefalonia's lively capital and a selection of beaches and tavernas 10-15 minutes drive away. Greek tourist board (EOT) accredited. About the owners: The property is owned by the Metaxas family, who have been one of the leading families in Kefalonia since the eighteenth century. The site of Villa Katerina was originally bought by the present owner’s great-grandfather, a ship owner who lived there until the grand old age of 104. It has been fully and tastefully refurbished and features brand new appliances and luxury furniture.
Metaxata is in the area of Livathos, considered by many to be the most desirable area of Kefalonia. The villa is situated in the centre of Metaxata and a few minutes walk from the local supermarket and small taverna.
E.O.T Accredition and why you should care!: All rental properties on Kefalonia are legally bound to be E.O.T. registered. This is your protection that the property has been independently inspected by the Greek Tourist board to conform that it exceeds their safety standards and advertised accurately.
