This luxury villa is located in a picturesque village in Montseny Natural Park, a UNESCO protected World Biosphere Reserve and is just one hour from Barcelona, Mediterranean beaches and the Pyrenees mountains, and just thirty minutes from Girona Airport (Ryanair, Easyjet). The village has all amenities including cafes, restaurants, bakers, butchers, chemist and general stores, and the city of Vic with its historic market square, is just fifteen minutes drive away. Viladrau village is famous for its healthy air and spring water (it has 111 springs!), this along with its sunny dry days and cool nights, have made it the traditional summer retreat for wealthy Barcelonains and Spanish Royalty. It is ideal for groups seeking the peace and tranquillity of an unspoilt mountain nature park and also the enjoyment of Catalan culture and cuisine. Viladrau is a walkers paradise - Montseny is packed with walks and cycle tracks. The peak of Matagals (visible from the terrace!) is a great walk from the house, with views of the Pyrenees, Barcelona and the Med. Further afield, one of our favourite walks is Val de Nuria - take the fenicular railway up and walk down (3 hrs). Montseny's quiet mountain roads and forest tracks make it hugely popular with on and off-road cyclists.

Other Activities: The most beautiful Costa Brava village beaches are an easy day trip 60 to 80 minutes away - Sa Tuna, Calella de Palafrugel, Llafranc, Aigua Blava, Sa Riera, are the best. Just outside Viladrau: Polo (ask in the village when a match is on - viewing is free!) and don't miss the Tree Rope Adventure Park - La Selva d'Aventura. Also Ballooning from Vic.

Golf: The beautiful Montanya Golf Club is 15 mins drive into the mountains, or the world standard, luxury PGA Catalunya 30 minutes away towards Girona.

Ski: Vel Ter 2055m is the nearest resort (60 mins), however La Molina, a 90 minute drive has much a more extensive skiiing and lift system.
