Cottages with 2 bedrooms, bathroom or shower room, kitchen /lounge + heated pool

Part of a Maison de Maitre in the CharenteMaritine region of France, these luxury cottages form part of the private residence which was built in 1780. The main house and cottages are within a large private walled garden on the edge of the village of Chervettes.

The cottages have been recently restored to a very high standard with modern facilities yet still keeping the original charm and history of the buildings.

The cottages have all facilities to ensure a comfortable stay in tranquil surroundings yet within easy reach of La Rochelle and the world famous Ile de Re. For those who are content to stay at the cottages the external amenities include a 10 metre heated outdoor swimming pool with changing rooms and sun area. Le Prieure is a mere 5 minute drive from the historical town Surgeres with its fabulous walled Chateau and medieval town centre, the town offers a great choice of restaurants , bars and modern supermarkets offering local produce.

New for 2013 we have converted a former cattle barn and hayloft into a stunning one bed apartment. It has private parking and a huge terrace. Pull out beds in the large reception are ideal for children.

Le Prieure is ideally located with great motorway links which opens up the Charente region and beyond.

Within an acceptable driving distance are the following attractions.

Space World at Poitiers.

Vineyards in Cognac / Bordeaux.

Beaches of La Rochelle and Chatelaillon plage.

Sea World in La Rochelle.

Beautiful Ile de Re with its sailing schools, secluded beaches and cycle tracks

Details for Cottage Susanna 2 Bedrooms, Sleeps 4, 1 Bathroom

Susanna cottage is the smaller of the two cottages. The ground floor is open plan in design measuring over 35 feet long and 12 feet wide. The newly fitted kitchen features granite worktops and all new appliances. The flooring is limestone and there is a working fireplace. [logs supplied in winter]. the seating area has an arm chair and a corner couch. There is a flat screen tv and dvd player with a large selection of dvds. Double doors open to the front south facing garden and pool. Small private patio with table and chairs. Up the spiral staircase there are two bedrooms one with double bed the other two singles. There is a small shower room with a large shower and walk in wardrobe.
